About This Tour
Day 1: Agadir / Zagora (460 km)
08:00 AM: Departure to Zagora via Taznakhte, passing through Taroudant (Former capital of Souss) with its beautiful ramparts and lively souks. Visit of Taroudant. Crossing the Souss plain, with its orange groves and argan tree fields, passing through Taliouine (best saffron plantations), lunch on-site, and continuation towards the Draa Valley. The Draa oases count about 2,000,000 date palms, the largest palm grove in the world, stretching 220 km long and 18 km wide. The palm tree is the main source of income for the inhabitants of the Draa Valley. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2: Zagora / Ouarzazate (170 km)
We follow the Draa Valley and its beautiful palm groves, continuing towards Agdez (short stop in Agdez for a break) via the Tizi-n-Tinififft pass (1,660 meters above sea level) to reach the Alkaid Ali Kasbah in Tamnougalte. Lunch at a local restaurant.
Continue towards Ouarzazate, arriving at Ait Ben Haddou. Visit of the famous kasbahs of the region, including Taourirt Kasbah, and the Ait Ben Haddou Ksar, a filming location for many movies, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Overnight at Ait Ben Haddou.
Day 3: Ouarzazate / Marrakech (220 km)
Departure towards Marrakech via the Tizi-n-Tichka pass, which remains snowy for a large part of the year. Arrival and check-in at the hotel, followed by lunch and free afternoon. Stop along the way to enjoy panoramic views of the High Atlas and its snow-capped peaks.
Day 4: Marrakech / Essaouira / Agadir (360 km)
After breakfast, departure to Essaouira. Lunch and visit of Essaouira. There is much to discover, such as the Sidi Mohammed Museum, the Scala du Port, the Medina, strolling along the ramparts, the lively fishing port, the artisanal fishing, and the local fish market. Wander through the labyrinthine streets of the city and explore the shops. If you wish, you can stop to visit an Argan Oil cooperative.
Typical lunch: Grilled fish of various kinds at the port. Continue towards Agadir, via the Atlantic Ocean, offering beautiful panoramic views of goats perched on the branches of argan trees, providing great photo opportunities along the way with stops as requested.
