ESSAOUIRA (The harmony city)

Following the spectacular Moroccan coastline, crossing the foothills of the Atlas, and passing by many Berber villages before arriving at this old Moroccan city, where many civilizations left their impacts. The area was inhabited 3000BC. Also known for the harmony living of the three religions for a long time and still, (Judaism, Christianity, and Islam)

Ex-Mogador (former name of the city) has long been protected by its ramparts, which give the town a distinctive tranquillity and serene quality.

Ancient Phoenician trading post, baptized as Mogador by the Portuguese, the well-designed city is a unique citadel, cradle of artists of all kinds, musicians, painters, and writers. Visit the fishing port and the different markets inside the city walls. Woodwork is the most reputable craft in town. Essaouira has attracted artists and musicians from different parts of the world, and you will see some of their works in the different art galleries of the city.

Departure from Your Hotel at 8:00 AM.

*   A few stops on the road:

        ·        Rest stop on the road to Essaouira, to use restrooms or get a drink.

        ·        (beautiful landscapes, views of the Atlantic Ocean, goats on the Argan trees), for taking pictures

*  On the way, visit a women's argan oil cooperative,

  - Arrival in Essaouira around 11:00 AM,

  -  Visit the fishing port,

  -  Visit the old medina with its narrow streets and its typically European architecture,

  - Visit the Scala (a former military base) and fortresses built in the 18th century,

  - restaurant (not included in the price),

  - Free time to go for walks: shoping, coffee...

  - Back around: 7:00 PM.
